Lexi called me inquiring about my services in summer of 2022 for her and Carson’s 2023 wedding. We hit it off right away. We began meeting throughout the year at a nearby McMenamins, where we shared a basket of tots, had a cocktail, and talked all the wedding details. Honestly, it was so much fun. Lexi even shared, “I feel like I am planning my wedding with a friend.”
Lexi and Carson shared with me the importance of celebrating and being surrounded by their friends and family. They wanted to make sure that on their wedding day, they could be 110% present. Not too busy, not running around, but just be in the moment. While designing and hiring vendors for Lexi’s and Carson’ wedding, I wanted to make sure the concept was down to earth, easy going, celebratory, and fun.
The ceremony took place at the Port of Cascade Locks, Oregon. The day could not have been better, as no rain or wind appeared that day, and sunshine was all around. Bennie, their dog, joined and participated at the Ring Bearer. When Lexi and Carson were announced as husband and wife, Bennie got so excited he tried to jump up onto Lexi. (see photo below for proof ha!)
Afterwards, everyone took off to head over to Edgefield McMenamins, for the reception. There the guests gathered, left an After the Tone voicemail, and enjoyed a nice cocktail. The timeline of the day was simple, full of conversations, music, and dancing, allowing Lexi and Carson to be completely in the moment on their wedding day.
By the end of the night, we had guests go make a path outside of the venue space. Lexi and Carson shared a one last final dance together, then came running out, to see their guests blowing bubbles.
